Full Job Description

Willowbrook Primary School are seeking an inspirational Primary School Teacher to join our dedicated school team in September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic practitioner who is passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and helping every child achieve their full potential. We are a warm, vibrant, and nurturing primary school located in the heart of Beacon Heath, Exeter, serving over 430 children aged 3-11 in our school and nursery provision. At Willowbrook, we want to provide a transformative education to our children; we aim to give every child a life-long love of learning by providing a caring, stimulating environment where they can thrive academically, socially, and personally. About the Role As a Teacher, you will deliver high-quality teaching and learning in line with the Teachers' Standards. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, preparing and teaching engaging lessons tailored to pupils' individual needs
  • Leading by example to secure high standards of behaviour, motivation and achievement
  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, using data to inform planning and target-setting
  • Reporting to parents and contributing to school improvement processes
  • Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with support staff and colleagues across the school
  • Contributing to performance management, training, and whole-school initiatives
  • Upholding school values, behaviour expectations and community ethos

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled teacher who can bring positivity, professionalism and a strong commitment to children's learning., Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Recent successful teaching experience in EYFS, KS1 & KS2.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and understanding of high-quality teaching and learning
  • Ability to teach pupils of all abilities and use ICT effectively in lessons
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
  • Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents and the wider community
  • Desirable attributes include:
  • Experience leading a curriculum area
  • Excellent ICT skills and ability to contribute to policy development
  • Experience teaching across multiple primary key stages
  • Ability to organise extra-curricular activities
