You will be accountable to the school leadership team, below are some of the key duties you will be expected to carry out:

  • Deliver and develop curriculum plans that meet students' educational, physical, and social needs.
  • Collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Set, monitor, and review personalised learning targets.
  • Assess, track, and report student progress to stakeholders in line with school policies.
  • Create structured, engaging lessons with clear objectives and challenge.
  • Contribute to reviews of Statements, EHC plans, PEPs, and LAC meetings.
  • Stay informed on autism-related developments to support effective teaching.
  • Work positively and non-confrontationally to meet individual needs.

    Aurora Redehall School supports pupils aged 6-11 with communication difficulties linked to Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). We're seeking a passionate Primary Teacher to join our school. You will be delivering high quality teaching and learning. Although Aurora Redehall is a primary school, many of the students are working at least 2 academic years behind their chronological age. Knowledge of teaching KS1 and early KS2 is desirable.,
  • QTS is essential
  • Ability to teach across a range of subjects.
  • Relevant knowledge and experience of pupils with ASD, SEMH and PDA profile
  • Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures
  • Experience of managing a range of approaches to behaviour, including managing behaviours that challenge
