Full Job Description

Abbey Gate College is seeking a well-qualified, experienced, and caring Teacher of Spanish to join our successful MFL department, from September 2026, on a fixed term basis, initially, until 31st August 2027. We welcome applications from candidates interested in part time or full time employment. The Spanish lesson allocation equates to 0.5 FTE, teaching Spanish up to GCSE in Key Stage 4. For anyone wishing to work full time, the ability to teach a second subject to GCSE level is required. In your application, please indicate whether you wish to apply for full time or part time employment, and provide details of any second subjects you are able to offer. We encourage applicants to view our other current vacancies, as there may be flexibility to combine roles and hours for the right candidate. We also welcome informal contact, from anyone who feels our College may be the right fit for them, to further discuss current opportunities, as there is flexibility across hours and subjects to suit the strengths of successful candidates. The successful candidate should be a highly effective practitioner with a passion for Spanish, excellent subject knowledge, and a proven track record of driving strong pupil engagement, progress, and examination outcomes in the subjects.
