What You Need to Succeed
We are looking to appoint a Teacher of Social Sciences to join this popular department. The post has arisen due to the popularity and expansion of courses at KS4 and KS5. Social Sciences is located in its own suite of air-conditioned rooms with an adjoining office. Courses currently offered at A Level are Psychology and Sociology (next year will also see the last Y13 cohort of Applied Psychology L3 BTeC finish their course). Criminology (L3 Diploma) was introduced 3 years ago and continues to be one of the most popular subjects in the sixth form.
At KS4, the department offers GCSEs in both Psychology and Sociology.
We are seeking a colleague to maintain the strong track record of the department in both results and strong, effective relationships with students. The 0.4 position means that candidates will not necessarily be asked to teach across the range of courses offered. This can be discussed and agreed at interview.
