A well-regarded secondary school in Liverpool is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Science (Biology) to join its supportive Science department. About the Role As Teacher of Science (Biology), you will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a strong focus on Biology. There may be opportunities to contribute to KS5 depending on experience and timetable. You will deliver well-structured lessons that develop:
- Secure knowledge of key Biology concepts and scientific thinking
- Confidence with practical work and safe lab routines
- Data handling, application of knowledge and evaluation skills
- Exam confidence through modelling, deliberate practice and precise feedback The Science Department The Science department is supportive and well organised, with shared resources and consistent approaches to assessment. The team values clear explanation, strong practical work, high expectations for scientific literacy and well-planned GCSE preparation, including intervention and revision support where needed.
- QTS (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification)
- Strong subject knowledge in Biology (and confidence teaching general Science)
