Full Job Description

The Royal Sutton School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and highly effective Teacher of Science to join our supportive and ambitious team on a maternity cover basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational teacher to join our Science department and deliver high-quality teaching that engages and challenges students across the age and ability range. The successful candidate will play an important role in inspiring a love of Science, developing students' knowledge and understanding, and supporting them to achieve their full potential.,

  • Planning and delivering engaging, challenging and inclusive Science lessons.
  • Teaching students across the secondary age and ability range, adapting learning to meet individual needs.
  • Inspiring students to develop a strong understanding and enthusiasm for Science.
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing effective feedback and implementing appropriate support strategies.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Science department and across the wider school.
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school and supporting our commitment to high standards of achievement and behaviour.

    Has a passion for Science and a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Has the ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students.
