Teacher of Music

To carry out the professional duties of a teacher in accordance with Claremont's policies under the direction of the Principal. Responsible for the effective coordination of the school's music provision, including line management of peripatetic staff and the organisation of instrumental teaching. The role includes leading the musical elements of major school events such as the Nativity, Carol Service, concerts, productions and Speech Day, as well as, working closely with the Performing Arts department to deliver high-quality collaborative productions. Additionally, the postholder coordinates the assembly music programme and supports the administration of wider music activities, including external examination entries.
