At Sir William Ramsay we are looking to appoint a dynamic, highly motivated and enthusiastic Teacher of Maths with a passion to work with young people to drive their success even further. The role will offer an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to raising standards and improving outcomes for young people. We are seeking a passionate Maths graduate to join our Maths department via the Level 6 Teacher Apprenticeship. This "earn-while-you-learn" route allows you to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) while being embedded in a supportive school environment. You will receive a reduced teaching timetable (maximum 80%) to ensure dedicated time for your training and portfolio development.

  • A UK Honours degree or equivalent (2:2 or higher) in Maths or a related field. (if not a related degree then very strong subject knowledge is required)
  • GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Resilience and strong organisational skills to balance classroom teaching with academic study.
