The role

If you are an experienced teacher looking for your next role or a well-qualified mathematics graduate ready to begin your teaching career at a leading independent school, then St Edward's Oxford offers an exciting opportunity to join our thriving Mathematics Department.

As Teacher of Mathematics, you will plan, prepare and deliver stimulating lessons to pupils across the school, while also serving as an academic tutor to a small group of students.

Working from our dedicated Mathematics Centre, you will benefit from well-equipped facilities that support innovative and engaging teaching. Collaboration lies at the heart of the department's ethos, with colleagues working closely together to develop new approaches to learning. Innovation and experimentation are actively encouraged so that staff remain at the forefront of current best practice.

About you

We are seeking a well-qualified individual with a passion for maths and a desire to inspire the next generation of mathematicians. A teaching qualification such as a PGCE is desirable but not essential. Strong graduates with an excellent degree in Mathematics will receive guidance and training from experienced practitioners, with support towards achieving a recognised teaching qualification.

Applicants with previous teaching experience should demonstrate outstanding classroom practice, as well as a readiness to teach all ability levels and age ranges. Experience of teaching Further Maths and IB is desirable, but not essential.
