Full Job Description

  • To have responsibility for planning, delivery, and assessment of learning activities in line with AQA A Level Law.
  • To ensure student achievement within these groups is at least in line with expectations.
  • To be accountable for progress and achievement of students within these groups.
  • To have responsibility for the pastoral care of an identified tutor group.
  • To implement school policies and procedures as appropriate in day-to-day activities.

    We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of Law to join our dedicated team, delivering the highest quality education for our popular and successful A Level Law course. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to teach A Level Law, with a passion for fostering academic excellence and student engagement. While the ability to offer an additional subject is advantageous, it is not essential., Have experience of teaching A Level Law and a good knowledge of the OCR A Level Law curriculum.
  • Be willing and committed to developing and sharing outstanding teaching practice.
  • Knowledge of how to assess pupils' understanding effectively and respond to any gaps immediately
  • A commitment to exceptionally high expectations of pupil conduct and a track record of excellent behaviour management
  • The ability to work as part of a team and undertake pastoral duties as a form tutor
  • Demonstrable commitment to inclusive teaching and learning
  • Have the ability to teach a 2^nd subject
  • A willingness to 'go the extra mile' so that pupils have exceptional experiences
  • The ability to work in partnership with students, parents, staff, academy council and the wider community.
  • Have resilience, adaptability and a can-do attitude., Applicants must be willing to undergo safeguarding and child protection checks including with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.

    Salary AST 1-12 (dependent of actual experience). Salary will be pro rata for part-time.
  • Job Role Fixed Term 1 year - Maternity cover, Full time with 2^nd subject/ Part time without 2^nd subject - to be discussed The Trust reserves the right to interview and appoint a suitable candidate before the deadline date.
