Teacher of LAMDA: Speech and Drama

We are looking to recruit a Teacher of LAMDA: Speech and Drama who will enthuse pupils to learn with a combination of great subject knowledge, energy and dedication. We need 24 hours of teaching at various times across the week which will be agreed individually with the successful applicant. Our current LAMDA teaching covers a wide range of LAMDA qualifications, including Acting, Public Speaking, and Musical Theatre. We have high expectations for our students as they grow and develop, and all our staff provide important role models to them in terms of positive attitude, work ethic and diligence. Qualified Teacher Status is desirable; however, we would welcome applications from freelance colleagues with comparable qualifications or experience. There may be an opportunity for the right candidate to take on some whole-class Key Stage 3 teaching, which can be discussed at interview. In this role, you will:

• Teach young people from Y8 to Y13 in small groups/one-to-one basis
• Organise group timetables, plan lessons and exam entries
• Liaise with the Drama department regarding student groupings and progress
The successful candidate will also be required to prepare students for external examinations with LAMDA, as well as prepare Key Stage 4 and A Level students for their performance assessments. The successful candidate will be self employed and submit invoices for hours worked.
