Teacher of KS4 and 5 Psychology

We are looking for a specialist Psychology teacher to join our secondary school and 6th form team one day a week, teaching across Key Stages 4 and 5. The successful candidate will be passionate about Psychology and committed to delivering engaging, challenging and well-structured lessons that develop students' knowledge, understanding and analytical skills in preparation for Edexcel examinations.

About the role:

· Teaching Psychology at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, following the Edexcel specification

· Delivering engaging and rigorous lessons that develop students' knowledge, understanding and application of psychological concepts

· Teaching key areas of the specification, including Biological Psychology, Research Methods, Psychological Issues and Social Psychology, alongside other core topics across the Edexcel courses

· Developing students' ability to apply psychological theories and research to a range of contexts and examination questions

· Supporting students to develop strong research methods, analytical, evaluative and extended-writing skills

· Preparing students effectively for GCSE and A Level examinations, with a strong focus on assessment, progress and exam technique

· Contributing positively to the wider Psychology department and the continued development of the subject and students future prospects

· QTS is required, alongside experience of teaching Psychology at KS4 and/or KS5
