  • Knowledge and experience that equip the candidate to teach History lessons in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4

  • Experience of proactive parental engagement to foster pupil success

  • Experience of preparing students for examinations and of raising student attainment and progress

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the elements that contribute to effective teaching and learning and the ability to plan and deliver lessons accordingly

  • Effective classroom management skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students and parents
