Typically, pupils leave the School in Year 13 for Russell Group universities, with a number of pupils making Oxbridge applications and apprenticeship applications each year. We are looking to appoint a new team member who has a background in Physical Geography and the ability and desire to teach to A level and prepare for competitive universities. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and confident Geography teacher and will have vision and drive with the ability and determination to maintain the very high educational standards for which the Department is already known. Excellent communication skills are essential for this role - imparting their own passion for the subject to pupils, as well as working collaboratively with the Department, wider staff body and liaising with parents. Clifton High School is a busy and thriving community in which the wider contributions of staff to co-curricular activities are highly valued. The ability to lead clubs and activities is vital, as is the participation in the pastoral support system of the School. An interest in PE and Games is desirable, though is not essential.
