Full Job Description
As Teacher of Geography, you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to contribute to KS5 depending on experience and timetable. You will deliver well-structured lessons that develop:
- Secure knowledge of physical and human geography
- Strong use of case studies to build understanding and relevance
- Confidence with map skills, graphs and data interpretation
- Evaluative writing and structured argument
- GCSE success through deliberate practice and clear exam technique You will work closely with colleagues to plan effectively, share resources and ensure pupils experience a well-sequenced curriculum that supports long-term understanding. The Department The Humanities team is supportive and collaborative, with shared planning and consistent approaches to assessment. Geography is valued within the school, and the department supports strong outcomes through clear routines, strong literacy focus and well-planned revision where required.
- QTS (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification)
