Teacher of Food Technology

Wardle Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join our vibrant Design & Technology department. About the Role You will deliver engaging, high-quality practical and theoretical lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition). From teaching fundamental culinary skills and nutritional science to exploring global food sustainability, you will build a dynamic curriculum that sparks curiosity and life skills in every student. What We Are Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent secondary teaching qualification.
• A strong background in Food Technology, Home Economics, or Food & Nutrition.
• The ability to manage a safe, well-equipped food practical environment.
• Passion for motivating students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
• Excellent organizational skills and a collaborative team mindset.
What We Are Looking For
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Art & Design or a related field.
• A "can-do" attitude with a commitment to continuous professional development.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and parents.
