Position: Teacher of Food Technology Department: Design and Technology Education Stage: Secondary up to KS4 Overall purpose of post

• Carry out the professional duties of a school teacher as set out in the current School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document (STPCD).
• Implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
• Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/ Form Tutor.
• Facilitate and encourage a learning experience, which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
• Contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
• Share and support the school's responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
• Support the aims and objectives of the school.

• Qualified Teacher Status
• The ability to teach KS3 and KS4 Food Technology
• Excellent subject knowledge of Food and Nutrition
• An enthusiasm and passion for teaching Food Technology
• Excellent classroom management skills
• A high degree of organisational ability
• The ability to develop effective working relationship with students
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• An ability to promote teaching and learning at all levels
• Excellent standards in hygiene, health and safety
• Experience of using ICT in their subject
• A willingness to learn and share good practice
• A willingness to take part in extra-curricular activities
• A commitment to the aims of the School
Desirable
• Knowledge or experience of delivering other Design Technology subjects
