Job Overview

We are looking for a passionate and committed Teacher of English who has the energy, enthusiasm and subject knowledge to inspire a love of English and an appreciation of literature and language.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging, challenging and inclusive lessons that meet the requirements of the curriculum, promote high standards and enable all learners to achieve their full potential.

Working collaboratively within our English faculty, you will contribute to the continued development of teaching and learning, share effective practice and support our ambition to achieve excellent outcomes for every learner.

The Right Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

Relevant subject qualifications and a strong understanding of English language and literature.

A secure knowledge of curriculum requirements and effective approaches to teaching English.

High expectations of learners, with the ability to motivate, challenge and inspire.

A commitment to continuing professional development and reflective practice.

The ability to use assessment effectively to inform planning, support progress and meet the needs of all learners.

A collaborative approach and a willingness to contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
