We are looking for an exemplary teacher of English to match the aspirations of our students and to join an experienced and talented team. English is taught in sets at both key stages, although the Faculty believes that every student is entitled to access the same texts. Therefore, we are looking for a skilled practitioner who can make challenging texts accessible and engaging for all. The curriculum places literature and high quality non-fiction at the heart of all of our schemes of learning and, whilst these are established, we would welcome someone with fresh ideas and perspectives to add to our practice. At Key Stage 4 students take the AQA GCSE examinations and all students study both language and literature. Our success is built on collaboration, creativity and an unwavering belief that every student can achieve. We are proud of our exceptional examination results, but equally proud of the confidence, curiosity and enthusiasm for English that we develop in our students.
