We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Teacher of English to join our forward-looking 11-19 school. The Sweyne Park School is the lead school within the Rayleigh Schools Trust and works with a local primary school, providing a 3-19 educational experience for the local community. The successful applicant will have excellent subject knowledge, the ability to inspire students, and a desire to develop as a teacher.

Our English department is a successful, close-knit team committed to delivering an engaging learner experience. Teachers work together to share resources and develop best practices, ensuring a high standard of education. We are seeking candidates who will:

• Demonstrate high levels of professionalism and uphold the values of the profession.
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status. However, applications from ECT's are also welcome to apply and will be considered for this role.
• Uphold all the Teachers' Standards.
• Demonstrate a passion for the specialist subject area and have a deep understanding and wealth of knowledge relating to it.
• Have enthusiasm for learning and education and show the ability to inspire this in others.

• Show resilience and a willingness to adapt and respond to feedback.

Welcome to The Sweyne Park School, we are a larger than average mixed, 11-18 comprehensive school. The School became an academy on 1st April 2013 and opened its Sixth Form in September 2014.

We believe that our focus on respect leads to high expectations and excellent discipline, and this in turn leads to the highest possible achievement for each individual pupil. In December 2018 we were the first Secondary School in the East of England to achieve the prestigious Rights Respecting Gold Award.
