About the Role You will help students build confidence and fluency in English by delivering clear, engaging lessons that develop analytical reading, effective writing, articulate speaking, and critical thinking skills. You will support learners in understanding language and literature, applying these skills to real-life communication, and developing a positive mindset towards the subject through clear explanations, targeted support, and high expectations. Your teaching will empower students to interpret texts thoughtfully, express ideas with clarity and purpose, and engage with English as a tool for both academic success and personal growth. Key priorities for the role include:

  • Delivering high-quality lessons that support strong student progress and confidence in English
  • Contributing to the development of teaching resources and curriculum delivery across the department
  • Supporting students across a range of courses and pathways to ensure all learners can succeed in English
  • Commitment to collaboration and sharing best practice within the department
