This role has the potential of getting involved in Classics at KS4 level for the right person. The English department is well established at Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys. Staff have a wealth of experience and interests, which bring many dimensions to provision of excellent lessons as well as skills and support for a new colleague! We have enjoyed excellent results at both GCSE and A-Level and a concept focused Key Stage 3 proves a popular launch pad for strong progress. A healthy approach to broader, innovative ways to enhance learning is encouraged, and trips add to this! The successful applicant will have a passion for their subject and have an understanding of the strategies required to motivate and inspire students who can contribute to an excellent team achieving equally impressive results. Above all else, the successful candidate should be enthusiastic about their work with young people and have a genuine concern for their development as individuals. The role would be suitable for an experienced secondary teacher seeking a new challenge or possibly a recently qualified teacher looking to gain experience in a supportive school.
