Full Job Description

Teacher of English (0.8 FTE approx) The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to undertake the KS4 Co-ordinator role for a fixed term period which is likely to be until the 11th April 2027. The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver engaging, challenging and well-structured lessons that inspire a love of literature and language.
  • Contribute to the continued development of a high-achieving department with a strong record of excellent exam results.
  • Play a full part in the co-curricular and pastoral life of our busy school community.
  • We are looking for someone who:
  • Is an excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge.
  • Is committed to high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Has the ability to motivate and support pupils of all abilities.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, creativity and a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the College.
  • Holds appropriate teaching qualifications (QTS or equivalent).
  • We reserve the right to interview prior to the closing date therefore early application is recommended.
