• Promote the department through competitions, projects, and practical workshops.
• Support students' personal development, welfare, and safeguarding.

• Ensure health and safety in workshops and practical sessions.

• A subject-specific degree-level qualification in Design & Technology.
Desirable:
• Further professional qualifications related to teaching or Design & Technology.

• Outstanding classroom practitioner and excellent role model for students and staff.
• Ability to teach across all abilities and key stages.
• Up-to-date understanding of new developments in the teaching of Design & Technology.
• Demonstrated ability to work well within a team.
• Experience contributing to the development of teaching strategies.
• Ability to inspire and motivate a diverse student population and meet the needs of all learners.
• Well-organised and able to adhere to deadlines.
• High expectations of the standards that can be achieved by all students.
• Experience promoting the department and engaging students in external competitions.
Desirable:
• Previous experience teaching in a Catholic school or faith-based setting.
• Experience working with cross-curricular projects or interdisciplinary initiatives.
