Full Job Description

Sandringham School is part of the Ambition Education Trust (AET). The Ambition Education Trust (AET) consists of eleven schools in Hertfordshire; four primary, one nursery and infants', one juniors and five secondary. Our Trust launched in September 2024 following the amalgamation of two established Multi Academy Trusts (MATs), Alban Academies Trust and ATLAS Multi Academy Trust. As a member of the AET, we are able to maximise opportunities for rewarding careers and opportunities for personal and professional development throughout our wider organisation. Sandringham School also leads the Alban Teaching School Hub.

We are looking to appoint a talented, enthusiastic and ambitious Teacher of Dance to join our outstanding Dance Faculty for maternity cover. Dance is a very popular subject with students studying the subject at KS3, GCSE, BTEC and A-Level. There is also a significant extra-curricular programme. We are seeking to recruit someone who is inspiring, dynamic and has a passion for Dance. You will be managed by another full time Dance teacher as well as working alongside another specialist who supports extra-curricular provision in the area. The school is proud to have an excellent reputation in the Arts (we hold 'Platinum Artsmark' status') and has invested heavily in providing two Dance studios. The successful candidate will:

  • have a track record of outstanding teaching and learning
  • have excellent subject knowledge
  • be inspiring, dynamic and passionate
  • promote Sandringham's ethos and values
