Are you passionate about shaping young minds and preparing students for a dynamic world of business and economics?
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Business Studies teacher with an ability to contribute to Economics to join our experienced team. The successful candidate will be able to deliver inspiring lessons which will engage our students and encourage them to achieve their potential. The successful candidate will teach Business and Economics to Level 3 contributing to A Level and vocational courses at Levels 2 and 3.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, an ability to contribute to law or politics would be welcome but not essential. Industry experience would be an advantage. The post can be full or part time and we welcome applications looking for both patterns of work. Please include your preferred work pattern ion your letter of application. If interested in part time, please specify how many days you wish to work.
Whilst previous post-16 experience is an advantage, it is not essential. Many of our staff have joined us from a pre-16 environment. This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who has been working in schools to move into post-16 education. We also offer the ECT programme and welcome applications from newly qualified teachers. A Sixth Form College offers an exciting educational environment in which to begin your career.
We also offer a Graduate Teacher route through the University of Brighton and would consider applications from graduates who are looking for a career in teaching.
The post attracts a competitive salary (pay award pending) and generous holidays along with access to the Teachers Pension Scheme.
This is a full time role but part time would be considered to the right candidate.
The successful candidates will be required to possess an enhanced DBS certificate to be employed at the College. Candidates are required to complete an application form and provide a covering letter.
