Bedlington Academy is part of the North East Learning Trust and are seeking to appoint a dynamic and highly motivated Teacher of Art / Design to join our dedicated team. Our Design Faculty has gone from strength to strength in recent years, and the courses offered within the department are some of the most popular at both GCSE and A Level. Specialisms taught in the faculty include Art & Design, Photography, Design Technology, Graphics, Engineering, and Food. For this role, we are ideally looking for someone who has experience teaching DT and / or Food as well as Art, however we would be keen to hear from applicants who have a specialism in any of the areas offered. The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner, with high expectations and a record of achieving the best outcomes from their students. They will be driven by their passion for Art & Design subjects, their genuine love for teaching and learning and their absolute commitment to widening opportunities for our students to ensure all students receive excellence every day. - Hold a QTS qualification (or equivalent).
- Have experience of teaching within the subject area.
- Have excellent IT skills.
- Be proactive and self-motivated.
