Join a school that likes to think outside of the box and inspire children to do the same. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Part-Time Art Teacher to join our Art Department. This role is for 2/3 days per week. The successful candidate will teach Art, Craft & Design at KS4 and KS5, with a strong focus on Skills of Art, particularly Textiles and Fashion Design. The ability to work independently and demonstrate strong technical skills across Fine Art, Textiles & Fashion Design is essential. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and support students in Skills of Art, with a focus on Textiles and Fashion Design and Fine Art.
  • Develop students' creativity alongside strong technical foundations in Fine Art, textile & Fashion Design.
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Art, Craft & Design (KS4-KS5).
  • Prepare students for coursework and examinations at KS4 and KS5.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of different learners.
  • Maintain a positive, organised, and inspiring studio/classroom environment.
  • Personal Requirements:
  • Strong subject knowledge in Art, Craft & Design, particularly in Textiles and Fashion Design.
  • Experience delivering Skills of Art.
  • Strong technical ability in Fine Art,Textiles and Fashion Design and capacity to work independently.
  • Proven experience teaching KS4 and/or KS5 Art.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a genuine interest in students' learning.
  • Relevant teaching qualification and experience.
