Full Job Description

As a KS3/KS4 SEND Teacher, you will:

· - Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging and personalised learning

· - Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of SEND needs, including autism, communication difficulties, SEMH and anxiety-related barriers to learning

· - Deliver meaningful learning experiences that support both academic achievement and preparation for adulthood

· - Use a Total Communication approach to help pupils engage, communicate and succeed

· - Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, families and multi-agency professionals

· - Support pupils' emotional wellbeing, independence and personal development

· - Contribute to EHCP outcomes through highly personalised provision and targeted support

· - Be part of a reflective staff team committed to continual improvement and best practice across the Trust, The Special Partnership Trust recognises the importance of developing a properly implemented People Strategy to underpin the overall strategic aims of the Trust.

We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and wants to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people with SEND.

You will:

· - Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

· - Be adaptable, reflective and solution-focused

· - Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills

· - Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues

· - Have high expectations for all learners

· - Be committed to inclusion, wellbeing and relational practice

· - Ideally have experience working within a SEND setting or supporting pupils with autism, communication needs or SEMH

· - Value teamwork, collaboration and professional development

Whether you already have extensive SEND experience or are keen to further develop your expertise, you will be well supported through coaching, collaboration and ongoing professional development.
