Full Job Description

Required for September 2026, or as soon as possible, a part-time (0.7fte) permanent excellent classroom practitioner to teach Humanities across the age and ability range in Glan-y-Môr School. Applications are welcome from all disciplines within Humanities. There may be a requirement to teach some KS3 English as part of this role. The role has the opportunity to increase hours where mutually beneficial to the school and candidate. This appointment offers an excellent opportunity for a first-class teacher who has the ability and vision to lead pupils to exceptional outcomes to join an experienced department with a strong team ethos. To work collaboratively with the aim to maximise the potential of all pupils and to help take this department forward into a new phase. NQTs are welcome to apply. The successful candidate will be expected to teach across the age and ability range in Humanities at both KS3 and KS4, within their subject discipline. The Humanities team are forward thinking and are committed to developing the best possible curriculum for learners in Glan-y-Môr school and options in Year 10 and 11 prove popular in this Area of Learning for our students., An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this job Welsh language level - verbal Level 2 - You will need a basic level of conversational Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
