We are therefore looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivational, and innovative teacher to join our dedicated team at this pivotal time in the life of the school. We want a teacher who can ignite a love of learning, uphold our high standards, and contribute meaningfully to improving the life chances of our pupils. The successful candidate will be based on our main site. Our learners follow an adapted National Curriculum that is highly personalised, incorporating EHCP outcomes, individual aspirations, and a strong focus on Preparation for Life. Teaching and learning are tailored to each pupil, ensuring their interests shape the curriculum and that learning remains engaging, motivating, and meaningful. We have high aspirations for all our learners, who undertake external accreditations where appropriate. A personalised curriculum is essential in enabling our pupils to thrive, and we employ a range of approaches to ensure they can access learning and reach their full potential. Learning takes place both in the classroom and within the local community through enriching, real-life experiences that help pupils apply their skills beyond the school environment. The successful candidate will excel in meeting the diverse needs of our pupils. You will be supported by a team of skilled Learning Support Assistants, as well as a Middle and Senior Leadership Team who fully understand both the rewards and the challenges of teaching within our school. Our staff are passionate about enhancing the learning, life chances, and opportunities of all our pupils and young people. Our young people (2-19) have a wide range of special educational needs, including Autistic Spectrum Condition. We offer an inclusive setting operating on the main Broomfield site and three partnership sites:
- Windmill Primary School
- Rodillian Academy
- Future Steps Hub (White Rose Business Park) This enables us to meet a wide variety of pupils' needs and provide support and advice to the community., This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to have an up to date DBS disclosure. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; If shortlisted you will be required to disclose relevant information regarding criminal history and an on-line search will be conducted. This includes only information publicly available on-line. References will be requested and an online search carried out for shortlisted candidates prior to attendance at interview. For successful candidates' other relevant checks with statutory bodies will be carried out which may include prohibition from teaching, section 128 check and overseas criminal record if you have lived or worked overseas Access The Broomfield main site and our partnership sites have disabled access facilities, including a lift.
- Experience and skills of teaching pupils with a wide range of Special Educational Needs including ASC
- The ability to offer a range of inspirational teaching, learning, assessment and behaviour management strategies to ensure learning is engaging and inclusive
- High expectations, commitment and enthusiasm for both the personal and educational development of all pupils
- Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
- An ability to work collaboratively with parents, carers, multi- professionals and outside agencies
- The ability to work effectively within a team
- A passion for education and willingness to support staff in enabling all our pupils to reach their potential

- Experience of teaching both English and Maths
