Full Job Description

A highly respected and long-established Chartered Accountancy firm in Sevenoaks is looking to appoint a new senior member of the tax department. With a strong reputation and a broad client base, this firm offers excellent long-term stability, exposure and career development. You will work alongside experienced Tax Managers and Partners, handling a varied portfolio of personal tax clients, with involvement across compliance, advisory and planning work as your experience develops. This role is Monday - Friday with hybrid working allowed. Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications. Higher salaries can be discussed. Duties

  • Preparing personal tax returns and Making Tax Digital (MTD) submissions.
  • Working on a portfolio of personal tax clients and acting as a day-to-day point of contact.
  • Preparing and submitting P11Ds, including benefits-in-kind calculations and employer Class 1A NICs.
  • Producing accurate income tax and capital gains tax computations.
  • Supporting advisory assignments including inheritance tax, capital gains and non-resident matters.
  • Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and providing guidance where appropriate.
  • Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and obtain information.
  • Preparing and responding to HMRC correspondence, enquiries and disclosures.
  • Ensuring compliance with UK tax legislation, HMRC deadlines and internal procedures.
  • Using tax compliance software and maintaining accurate client records.
