Full Job Description

Apleona UK is seeking an experienced and technically strong Tax & Reporting Manager to manage tax compliance, statutory reporting, and audit processes across the Northern Europe region. Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a senior technical role with responsibility for robust tax governance across the UK, Ireland, and Nordics, working closely with external advisers and Apleona's head office in Germany., Manage corporation tax compliance across NOE entities, working in partnership with external tax advisers, including transfer pricing and group tax reliefOversee indirect tax obligations including VAT, CIS, and RCT, alongside other local compliance requirements such as employment taxes, plastic packaging tax, ESG reporting, and statistical filingsSupport the Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) compliance process, maintaining the required documentation and controls to demonstrate tax governance to HMRCCoordinate the preparation of annual statutory financial statements in line with UK reporting standards, managing relationships with external accounting partnersLiaise with external auditors throughout the audit cycle, ensuring timely delivery of information requests and adherence to agreed timetablesDrive a robust controls environment by monitoring the effectiveness of internal controls and system workflows across end-to-end finance processesMonitor changes in tax legislation and statutory
requirements, assess areas of potential impact, and update internal processes accordinglySupport internal audit processes and maintain strong compliance standards across the regionProvide technical guidance on tax and accounting matters to local finance teams

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent); CTA qualification particularly welcomeSolid working knowledge of UK corporation tax compliance, including awareness of transfer pricing principles, group tax loss reliefs, and emerging Pillar II obligations across multi-jurisdictional group structuresExperience in a tax compliance or tax management role within a complex, multi-entity or group environmentFamiliarity with the Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) regime and the controls documentation it requiresProven ability to manage external adviser and auditor relationships effectivelyDemonstrable track record of maintaining strong controls and governance standardsComfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth and change environmentPractical experience of VAT, CIS, and RCT compliance in a multi-entity environment would be advantageousExposure to Nordic tax jurisdictions and experience with ERP implementation or finance system change projects would be desirableBackground
in facilities management, engineering, or a related service-led sector would be beneficial

You will work 37.5 hours per week but will need to be flexible to ensure service delivery at the highest level.
