There are no limits on where our trustees can be based as all meetings are currently held remotely, though visiting our hubs and understanding our clients will be important to your role in our organisation. Board meetings are held every 2 months, currently on a Thursday, 4pm-6pm. This is reviewed on a regular basis to meet trustee availability. As a Tapestry Trustee you will bring the high level skills and experience needed to support the leadership of our innovative organisation. You will work closely with the other members of the Board of Trustees to support the strategic leadership of the organisation. You will work closely with, and provide support to, the CEO and executive team, particularly in areas of your expertise, through a critical and exciting phase of our development. As a board member, you will also be responsible for ensuring that the organisation is working in a legal manner and in line with its governing documents. There are currently 6 Board Meetings held per year, plus additional sub-committee meetings for those with the relevant skills and experience (e.g. Finance and Governance Sub Committee).
- Have extensive senior level professional experience, preferably in health & social care, marketing, strategic business development, legal or finance.
- Have knowledge of, or a keen interest in, the improvement of health and social care for adults in our community.
- Have strong analytical and communication skills. Most of all, you will have the enthusiasm and commitment to add real value to our organisation.
