Talk Community Health & Wellbeing Trainer

Do you want to make a difference to the health and wellbeing of your community? We are looking for passionate and driven individuals to join our Talk Community Healthy Lifestyle Team. The service provides integrated behaviour support for smoking cessation, weight management, alcohol reduction and physical activity, all embedded in sustainable behaviour change and positive wellbeing. Please note that this role requires you to have access to transport and to be able to travel independently across the county. The role will also require some flexible working to meet the needs of the client groups accessing the service.

• You will be motivated, organised and a proactive advisor, with experience of working in community health programmes; passionate about promoting healthy lifestyles and delivering motivational change which is client centered.
• You will be confident and experienced in delivering support to groups and in 1-2-1 meetings and in developing and facilitating training programmes.
• You will have strong communication skills & be confident delivering holistic health and lifestyle advice to individuals and groups, including carrying out brief interventions, initial assessments and ongoing support using proven behaviour change techniques.
• We will consider candidates with a background in smoking cessation, nutrition, exercise, public health or community health and delivering training in health behaviours, along with being excellent team player and having a willingness to learn and develop.
