As the range of projects that we work on grow, so does our team!, The role of the Senior Systems Engineering Manager is to Manage solutions for printing and factory line solutions, and their associated modules and configurable options, solving complex engineering problems using new or existing technologies, and through innovation, creativity, and technical analysis with a strong focus on quality. Use a combination of general and specialist engineering knowledge and understanding to optimise the application of advanced and complex systems. Use management skills to enable and empower a team to deliver to their highest capability whilst ensuring suitable career progression and development of individuals to enhance the business. You Will:
- Maintain and extended a sound theoretical approach to enable development and application of technology.
- Take an active role in the identification and definition of project requirements, problems, and opportunities.
- Implement engineering tasks and evaluate the effectiveness of engineering solutions.
- Plan the work and resources needed to enable effective implementation of a significant engineering task or project.
- Prepare budgets and associated work programmes for projects or tasks.
- Manage (organise, direct and control), programme or schedule, budget and resource elements of a significant engineering task or project.
- Make and implement responsible decisions that are ethical, inclusive, and assess personal, team and organisational performance.
- Be Confident to make and communicate ethical decisions that are justified, taking accountability of the choices made by myself and my team
- Communicate and influence - Communicate effectively, adapt to audience and purpose, and use influencing skills to persuade and negotiate.
- Provide purpose and direction - Create and/or maintain a culture where everybody has a sense of purpose, knows what is expected of them at work and can adapt to changing needs
- Develop people and capabilities - Create a sustainable workforce, that encourages and supports each other in achieving personal and professional goals.
- Identify capabilities to build an effective team, and input into plans to attract, recruit, develop and retain people to optimise performance.

- Lead change & innovation - Lead sustainable and creative approaches to change, development, and improvement by clearly communicating and engaging others in the process.

- Clearly present and discuss proposals, justifications, and conclusions.
- Understand and comply with relevant codes of conduct.
- Understand the safety implications of their role and manage, apply, and improve safe systems of work.
- Carry out and record the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to maintain and enhance competence. / Assisting others with their own CPD
We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team! A person who is comfortable making key decisions and leading a team. You Will: - Have a Level 6 qualification (Batchelor's Degree) with management experience, or Chartered Engineer with management experience or Senior Engineer with management experience.
- Have proven analysis/evaluation of system design for hardware and software systems.
- Have proven experience in the design and validation of engineering requirements.
- Have experience in managing technical teams.
- Have successful application of the knowledge of systems design and product interfaces for complex engineering systems.
- Be experienced in estimating for time scales, resources, and budget for team planning.
- Have knowledge of the product creation and change management processes.
- Have proven experience of structuring and packaging of requirements to support modular and iterative development process.
- Have proven experience in analysing requirements in cooperation with the HW and SW departments to develop technical concepts.
- Be proficient using a requirement management system (Polarion, Doors etc.)
- Be proficient in use of UML or SysML.
- Have a high-level knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices.
- Be competent in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills written and verbal across various levels within the business.
- Be proficient in Azure DevOps (Desirable)
- Apply knowledge and understanding of a Printing/Factory environment to guide team to the appropriate solution. (Desirable)
