Full Job Description
We are looking for highly talented and adaptable Systems Engineers to become part of our innovative team. The ideal candidates will bring extensive knowledge in system architecture, design, integration, testing, and validation within intricate systems. Overseeing the full lifecycle of system development, ensuring adherence to industry standards, fulfilling security and safety requirements, and playing a key role in the development of high-quality, dependable systems for critical applications in areas such as defence, aerospace, and maritime industries. An average of 3 days on-site is expected and due to the nature of our projects you will need to be a UK national and security cleared to SC level. Requirements Requirements Management:
- Capture, document, and manage system requirements using industry-standard tools.
- Ensure traceability from requirements to design, testing, and validation to maintain clear system requirements throughout the lifecycle. System Architecture & Design:
- Develop system-level and sub-system designs for software, electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
- Define, model, and document interface requirements and properties between system components. Testing & Evaluation:
- Support the creation of comprehensive test plans for unit, integration, factory, trials, and customer acceptance tests.
- Assist in executing test cases, troubleshooting faults, and ensuring system compliance with relevant standards (e.g., Def-Stan, Mil-Std). System Integration & Validation:
- Oversee the integration of hardware and software components into larger systems, ensuring full functionality.
- Conduct post-integration testing to identify and resolve integration issues, ensuring the system operates as intended. Certification & Qualification:
- Support system certification efforts to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Assist in preparing documentation for regulatory and safety certifications. Documentation & Reporting:
- Develop clear, concise, and professionally written documentation throughout the lifecycle stages, ensuring comprehensive records of system designs, requirements, test results, and other critical processes., Work on innovative and mission-critical projects in industries like defence, aerospace, and maritime.

Bachelor's degree in an Engineering subject, such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field. - Proven experience (5+ years) as a Systems Engineer or in a similar role within industries such as defence, aerospace, or maritime. Skills (Essential)
- Strong knowledge of requirements, system design, integration and systems testing, and validation processes.
- Proficiency with requirements management tools, particularly IBM DOORS.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Product safety and risk assessment methodologies.
- Knowledge of Information Assurance and Product Security. Desirable Skills (Optional):
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and relevant tools.
- Familiarity with environmental testing, including temperature, vibration, and humidity assessments.
- Familiarity with qualification activities such as Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Radio Frequency (RF) testing, and Safety compliance.
