US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation Systems eXtended (US BICES-X) is a cutting-edge program supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. - Manage the functionality, performance, and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems.
- Ensure the integrity, security, and compliance of systems, including the application of DISA STIG settings and patching of operating systems and applications as required.
- Support deployment of new services and assist users with system and infrastructure requests.
- Maintain comprehensive system documentation and configurations to ensure accuracy and availability.
- Provide recommendations for hardware and software acquisitions; coordinate installation and backup recovery strategies.
- Develop, document, and monitor policies and standards related to resource allocation and usage of computing assets.
- Create, maintain, and enhance automation scripts (primarily PowerShell) to streamline administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Develop, maintain, and administer a Software Defined Data Center (SDDC), including automation, orchestration, virtualization, storage, and network components to ensure scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure services.
- Design, implement, and document testing strategies for system updates, configurations, and security patches.
- Offer guidance, training, and support to end-users and junior team members.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices relevant to assigned areas of responsibility.
- Adhere to industry standards, principles, and best practices in network and systems administration.
- Continuously enhance knowledge and proficiency with related hardware and software platforms.
- Effectively manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements.
6+ years of professional experience in systems engineering or administration roles. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Additional years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Must meet DoD 8570 requirements and hold or be eligible for IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE or equivalent).
- Strong experience with Windows infrastructure services, including but not limited to DHCP, DNS, authentication protocols, Active Directory, and general connectivity troubleshooting.
- Practical experience applying DISA STIGs, securing systems, and performing compliance audits.
- Hands-on experience in developing and maintaining automation and scripting solutions, primarily using PowerShell; experience with other scripting languages is a plus.
- Experience managing and maintaining components of a Software Defined Data Center (SDDC), including virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware vSphere, Hyper-V), software-defined networking (SDN), and storage solutions.
- Familiarity with system monitoring tools and practices, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Ability and willingness to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends and holidays, as mission needs dictate, Experience supporting multinational customers preferred.
- Experience with user, administrative and service account creation and management.
- Experience with direct customer support for both internal and external customers.
- Experience with Server STIGs, patching, Tenable, ACAS, SCCM, and IAVA vulnerabilities.
- Experience with Group Policy, and Windows PowerShell.
- Experience with SolarWinds.
- Experience with managing, monitoring, and responding to key server infrastructure alerts.
- Experience with SCCM, Exchange, and Back-up technologies.

The likely salary range for this position is $79,747 - $105,800. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
