Systems Configurator

The Change & Transformation team at Underwriting Collective, Part of PIB Group are responsible for driving business improvement, system enhancement, and operational transformation across the organisation. The team acts as the bridge between business requirements and technology solutions, ensuring that core platforms and business systems are configured, optimised, and continuously improved to support the evolving needs of the business and are now looking for a Systems Configurator to join them in our Gloucester offices.

The Systems Configurator role will set up, maintain, and adapt software, systems and product rules so they align with business needs and operate efficiently.

What you'll be doing:

· Support the build of new products within the Underwriting Collective, ensuring consistency and quality.

· Translate business requirements, underwriting guidelines, pricing models, and policy conditions into system configuration and workflows.

· Deliver product updates, rule changes, and major platform logic alterations following business change requests or regulatory shifts.

· Triage and resolve client support requests related to user access, document compilation errors, or edge-case system anomalies.

· Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs, challenging where applicable.

· Escalate clearly when needed to Product Lead, documenting impacts and solution options.

· Work in compliance and alignment with the central change management processes.

· Experience as a Configuration Analyst or at extensive experience as a Business or Systems Analyst.

· Experience in a client-facing role, ideally within an IT delivery capacity.

· Highly proficient in Excel, with extensive experience in formulas, lookups, and various functionalities (excluding VBA).

· Conceptual understanding of UI/UX design principles, including a basic understanding of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML

· Knowledge and experience in digital teams, especially within insurance/financial services or other regulated business environments.

· Communicates fluently, orally and in writing, and can present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences when engaging with colleagues.

· Applies a methodical approach to routine and complex issue definition and resolution.
