Full Job Description

If you join us, you can play your part as a Survival Equipment Technician at Royal Air Force Cranwell, supporting critical aviation operations through the maintenance and assurance of life-saving equipment., As a Survival Equipment Technician, you will carry out scheduled maintenance and repairs to any/all RAF Survival Equipment and Aircrew Equipment Assemblies as required to always meet or exceed customer expectations and HADES contractual needs. Day-to-day, you'll schedule the maintenance of Survival Equipment and Aircrew Equipment Assemblies, as well as:
- Periodic, after use and corrective maintenance of wet/dry drill equipment.
- Maintenance documentation and record to be maintained IAW current regulations.
- Calibration and recording of Torque tools as and when required.
- MOD form 760 and 765 raised and submitted, as necessary. This is a full-time, onsite role, working 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Experience of Parachute maintenance and packing.
- Experience of Life Raft maintenance and packing. Qualifications for the Survival Equipment Technician:
- RAF Survival Equipment Course or civilian equivalent.
- Q-SE-AC or Q-AV-MED.
- RAF Flying Clothing Maintenance and Fitting. Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
