Surveyor

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Surveyor (Operations) to lead the delivery of our responsive repairs service, ensuring it is customer-focused, high-performing, and offers excellent value for money. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the maintenance service for all council homes and garages.
• Ensure the efficient turnaround of empty homes.
• Lead on the delivery of special projects.
• Supervise a team of repairs surveyors and ensure effective resources are used.
• Develop and manage inspection and property survey programmes.
• Drive efficiencies within procurement and supply chains.
• Assist with the implementation of systems and procedures to support mobile working and efficient staff deployment.
• Represent the council in meetings with stakeholder, tenants, and external partners.
• Oversee HHSRS, DMC and Disrepair work and projects.
  
  Proven experience in contract / project management and housing refurbishments.
• Strong knowledge of building technology and housing maintenance planning.
• Experience working with local authorities or public sector organisations.
• Proficiency in housing management systems and reporting tools.
Skills and ability:
• Excellent project management, communication, and negotiating skills.
• Strong organisation and administrative capabilities.
• Ability to manage workloads under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Computer literate with proficiency in Word and Excel.
