Are you a Surgical Recovery Nurse with experience in post-anaesthetic or perioperative care, looking for additional weekend work? Here at 18 Week Support, we have an exciting opportunity to support a well-established NHS Trust in the West Midlands area within a busy Urology Surgery service. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced theatre and recovery teams in a well-supported, patient-focused environment while benefiting from flexible additional sessions. - Opportunity to work within a specialist Urology Surgery ward environment, Deliver high standards of post-operative care within the recovery area following urology procedures.
- Assess, monitor, and care for patients recovering from anaesthesia, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.
- Monitor and record patient observations, escalating any clinical concerns appropriately.
- Work collaboratively with theatre, anaesthetic, and ward teams to ensure safe patient handovers and continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and provide compassionate, patient-centred care throughout the recovery process.
Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration. - Current experience working within a surgical recovery setting for a minimum of 6 months within the last 12 months.
- Proven NHS experience.
- Experience working within surgical wards or urology environments is desirable.
- Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary ward team.
