What you will do:
- Family Support: Provide both practical and emotional support to families facing challenges such as poverty, housing issues, poor mental health, domestic abuse, and parenting difficulties.
- Assessment and Intervention: Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to identify family needs and develop action plans that promote positive change.
- Child-Centered Practice: Ensure children's needs, safety, and well-being are prioritized in the support provided to families while working with parents to promote child development.
- Multi-Agency Working: Collaborate with various agencies, including housing services, health professionals, and education providers, to offer coordinated and holistic support.
- Advocacy: Represent and advocate for families to help them access necessary services, such as housing, education, and healthcare.
- Early Intervention and Prevention: Proactively identify families at risk of escalating issues and offer preventive support to minimize the need for statutory services.
- Case Management: Manage a caseload efficiently, ensuring regular reviews and updates to support plans in line with policies and procedures.
- Referral and Signposting: Facilitate referrals to other services, ensuring families connect to the appropriate support.
- Group Work and Workshops: Lead parenting groups and workshops to deliver vital training and advice on topics like parenting skills and financial management.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of interventions and progress, report on outcomes, and help families meet their goals.
