Full Job Description

The people we support have learning disabilities, mental health concerns and physical disabilities and require various levels of support in their day to day lives. We focus on achieving individualized goals, working together to overcome barriers to ensure people are living their best lives. They need to be supported by people who understand their individual needs and will promote their independence and make a positive difference to their lives. The individuals we support have their own interests and like to take part in lots of activities - from karaoke, baking, BBQs and garden parties - to discos, day trips and holidays. They have all had experience of challenges with anxiety, past traumas and behaviours, so we are looking for Support Workers who are confident supporting them in these areas and can build trust to help them feel safe and secure. There are several Support Workers on shift each day and 2 waking night staff. Overnight staff support from 10pm to 7am and daytime staff provide floating staff between the hours of 7am to 10pm. We require staff to be flexible to meet the needs of this service and can accommodate full time and part time positions at this time (all permanent roles will require some weekend working)

Community Integrated Care is one of the UK's largest health and social care charities. We transform lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred support that fosters independence and empowerment. Our charity was founded in 1988 and we were one of the pioneers of the 'Care in the Community' agenda, enabling people to move out of long-stay institutions and live more fulfilling lives. Since then, we've remained leaders in social care, providing bespoke support to thousands across the UK. Today, we support more than 2,600 people and employ 6,600 caring and committed colleagues across England and Scotland. We have a proud history of breaking boundaries and are always looking for new ways to make a positive difference through bold ideas, innovative projects and impactful partnerships.
