Support Worker / Personal Care Assistant

Duties include:

- Other relevant duties as required

- Transportation

- Companionship

- Support to access social activities e.g. going to pub, meeting with friends.

- Support with chores/domestic tasks, personal care tasks such as showering, getting dressed and preparing balanced healthy meals.

- Prompting and step by step instructions will be needed for the tasks above.

I am a happy, friendly, kind young man needing support with social activities, developing independent living skills and confidence, prompting and instructions with personal care and domestic chores.

I am a 21 year old man living with my mum and 2 siblings, 4 cats and 2 assistance dogs.

I enjoy computer games, lego, and I love animals. I have difficulties with speech and need to be given time to understand information and make decisions. I have sensory needs and sometimes become anxious if my routines change. I am good at problem solving and have a good memory. I am kind and enjoy helping others.

My aim is to attend college and become more independent.

I need support with developing confidence and independent living skills such as travelling by public transport, social activities such as going to the pub and meeting friends, finding work or training. I also need prompting with personal care tasks and domestic chores at home including step by step instructions.

You must be friendly, patient, reliable and like animals. Experience of working with young people with Autism, dyslexia or dyscalculia would be required.

It's important that you keep me safe and supervised at all times when in the community.

You will need to confirm that you are registered as self employed and provide a contract for your services and proof of public liability insurance., Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality

- Experience of working with young people with Autism, dyslexia or dyscalculia would be required., All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check if required. If the role is offered on a self-employed basis, you will be responsible for the cost of your own DBS check.
