Full Job Description

R is a 10-year-old boy who is non-verbal, but he can communicate in his own way. He finds going out very difficult as he struggles with noise and being around people. He feels most comfortable at home where he enjoys quiet spaces, cushions and blankets. R can become very anxious if his routine changes, and loud noises can cause distress and agitation. R needs someone who understands his needs and can support him in a patient and calm manner., Supporting R with all aspects of daily living, including washing, dressing and personal care. Prompting and supporting R to eat and drink, as well as supporting with continence care, as nappies are used.

You will help R feel safe, calm and reassured when he becomes anxious, support communication in a way that he is comfortable with, and follow established routines to help reduce anxiety caused by changes.
