Full Job Description
We are looking for a passionate and motivated Support Worker / Group Facilitator to join our Men's Residential Service. This is a varied and rewarding role supporting clients through trauma-informed addiction treatment, delivering impactful group interventions and providing practical, person-centred support to help individuals build sustainable recovery.
Skills and experience that support effective client engagement and safe, high-quality service delivery, including the following:
Experience or knowledge of working in addiction, residential or support settings
A full UK driving license and willingness to transport clients
Understanding of safeguarding and working within CQC regulated environments
Administration of prescription medication and stock taking (training can be provided)
Strong communication and organisational skills
A calm, resilient approach with the ability to prioritise effectively
A genuine passion for recovery-focused, person-centred support and ability to build trusting, therapeutic relationships, Disability Confident

Salary: £27,000 - £28,500 per annum pro rata (depending on experience)
Hours: 28 hours per week (including some weekends and bank holidays)
Pension: Auto enrolment pension (6% employer contribution)
Location: Stroud
What will you do
Provide consistent support across a range of practical, therapeutic and administrative responsibilities within the service, including the following:
Deliver engaging, high-quality group interventions that support recovery journeys
Provide compassionate, practical support with housing, benefits, health and wellbeing
Encourage and motivate clients to fully engage in their treatment programme
Contribute to care planning and regularly review client progress and needs
Safely administer and support with prescription medication
Create a welcoming environment by preparing for and supporting new admissions
Work collaboratively with external agencies to ensure joined-up care
Keep clear and accurate records to support high-quality service delivery
