Support Worker - Extra Care

As a Support Worker in our Extra Care Scheme, your primary responsibility is to assist elderly individuals who are experiencing physical frailty, helping them maintain as much independence as possible. This includes supporting people we support with restricted mobility by aiding them in moving safely to dining areas for meals, communal spaces for social engagement, and back to the privacy of their own rooms when requested. The role will require you to assist people we support with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with people, both individually and as a group. The core aim of this role is to promote independence, choice, dignity, and respect, consistently delivering care to the highest standard. Benefits for the Role

Baird Lodge has 35 one-bedroom apartments, exclusively for local people aged 55 and over., Radis Community Care was established in 2001 and has grown to become a leading provider of community based Social Care and support, employing over 2500 staff and supporting nearly 4000 vulnerable adults and children who live with a range of different health needs in England and Wales. This could include Dementia, Mental Health, Learning Disability, Physical Disability. We tailor to meet people we supports individual needs, our care ranges from Live-In Care, Extra Care, Visiting Care, Supported Living and Nurse Lead care.
