About the Role
As a Driver Support Worker, you'll play a key role in supporting adults with learning disabilities who attend our Day Centre. Your day-to-day role will include:
Safely collecting and returning individuals between home and the Day Centre
Supporting people to participate in a range of community and centre-based activities
Encouraging and enabling people to engage in meaningful experiences
Assisting with personal care where required
Keeping accurate vehicle and service user records
Carrying out routine vehicle checks and basic maintenance
A positive attitude to supporting the development of people with learning disabilities
The ability to take responsibility
Good communication skills
A commitment to people with learning disabilities
Reliability, honesty and trustworthiness
The ability to work flexibly to meet individual needs

Driving Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
Hold a current, valid UK manual driving licence, D1 unrestricted or a PSV licence
Have at least 5 years' driving experience
Be capable of carrying out basic vehicle checks and maintenance
Feel confident driving a 15-seater minibus
Be able to maintain accurate transport and user records, Honest

Typical shifts: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
We have 18 to 24 hours available; you would be working 3 or four days per week.
Flexibility is required to cover shifts across the week, not set days.
Occasional evenings or weekends may be required for special events
