Full Job Description
£14.80 per hour | Initially 8 hours per week, increasing to 12 We are looking for a friendly, reliable and proactive Personal Assistant to support an adult female, Tharini, living in Epsom. This is very much a companion-style role, ideal for someone who enjoys getting out and about, attending events, and helping someone make the most of their week. The role focuses on community access and social support, rather than hands-on care. You'll be accompanying Tharini to a wide range of activities and appointments, offering encouragement, practical support and good company. About the role As a Personal Assistant, you will support with activities such as:
- Attending appointments (e.g. GP, hospital, hearing or eyesight tests, Job Centre / DWP)
- Going to day services and organised activities
- Attending events such as concerts, sporting events and/or regular activities
- Shopping trips and errands
- Trips out such as seaside visits, garden centres and nature walks This role would suit someone who enjoys being active, sociable and flexible, and who is happy to adapt plans depending on the day.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, supportive approach
- Driver with own car (essential) - you will be required to drive Tharini to activities and appointments
- Willingness to use your own vehicle for work purposes
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy On-job mileage, travel and parking costs will be reimbursed. Experience Previous experience as a Personal Assistant or support worker is helpful but not essential. The most important qualities are a positive attitude, good communication, and a genuine interest in supporting someone to enjoy a full and active social life.
- Pay: £14.80 per hour
- Hours: Starting at 8 hours per week, with the potential to increase to 12 hours for the right person
- Hours are flexible and arranged by mutual agreement. Usually 4hrs per shift.
